Season's Greetings! It's been another exciting year.
Ben continues his employment at SC Johnson. He is now a Process I.T. Consultant, helping the business manage regulatory and packaging data. He still learns something new every day. Outside of work, Ben continues to play guitar and sing at Thursday night worship services at Our Savior's. He occasionally plays on Sunday mornings at Kenosha Bible Church. To summarize his efforts this year in running, Ben completed marathons (26.2 miles) in Phoenix, Tybee Island (Georgia), Austin, Nashville, and San Antonio. He also ran two 50-kilometer races (about 31 miles each) in Chicago -- one in the spring, and one in the fall.
Jenelle recently made the decision to leave SC Johnson in mid-January. She is very much looking forward to pursuing some exciting opportunities, and we're certain that 2009 will be a great year filled with lots of new experiences. Until then, Jenelle is finishing up a few important projects, including coordinating SC Johnson's holiday celebration. Also, Jenelle continues to serve at Wednesday night AWANA group meetings at Kenosha Bible Church, teaching and mentoring 5 and 6 year-old kids.
Other highlights of the year included a trip that Jenelle and her mom took to New York over Mother's Day weekend, where they had lots of fun together. We also spent a week in Oregon in October, visiting with Jenelle's parents and enjoying some of Oregon's natural beauty. Back home, we attended several Cubs and Brewers baseball games at both Wrigley Field and Miller Park. We're looking forward to doing the same next season, as we joined with relatives to get great seats for 20 Brewers games.
We appreciate all of the blessings bestowed on us in 2008. We are especially thankful for the new friends we've made, the old friends who support us and grow with us, and family members, both near and far, who continue to share their gifts with us. Best wishes to all!
