Some of you may have noticed a new link in the right-hand column. It’s a new web site I created earlier this month — RunningHungry.org.
For the first time ever, I am running a marathon (actually FARTHER than a marathon) to raise money for World Vision, an organization known for providing aid to children and families around the globe. My favorite thing about World Vision is that they do not simply provide food — they provide items that have a lasting effect on area communities. For example, they dig wells to reach clean water, bring in animals for lasting food sources, and donate clothing and blankets.
I haven’t received any pledges yet besides my own, mainly because I haven’t been promoting the site much yet. That’ll change in the coming weeks. In any case, your support is much appreciated!
